ABOUT RIVERSIDE DANCE ACADEMY
We introduce a very professional atmosphere and offer a wide variety of styles of dance to all ages, from 2 and 1/2 year old toddlers to professionals desiring one-on-one coaching.
All levels available, from pre-ballet tots to professional ballerinas and danseurs.
We offer training in Classical Ballet, from Baby Ballet to Advanced Open class for professional dancers, and coaching and choreography for competing students. We also offer chances for our students to perform onstage.
We also offer classes for your future primas, with a selection between Fairy Fun and Princess Ballet class.
We also offer more serious ballet proper classes, in graduating levels, as well as pointe development classes and pas de deux.

Because a dancer must not live on ballet alone.
While we strongly recommend classical ballet, we encourage students to take additional types and styles of dance to broaden each students capabilities and knowledge of dance and the arts.

Riverside Dance Academy and Performing Arts is creating a positive atmosphere for Dance and the Arts. Our Academy offers a wide variety of dance and performing arts classes. Our highly trained staff has so much to offer to each and every student. Our quality of instruction has prepared many of our students to be selected for roles in Cirque de Soleil, Disneyland parades and shows, Junior University, Civic Light Opera, Inland Dance Theater, as well as aiding students to acquire dance scholarships in major universities and many professional dance schools and companies in the United States and Canada. Here at RDA, our main focus is classical ballet, which is the foundation of all types of dance. Although we strongly recommend classical ballet we encourage students to take additional classes in different styles of dance to broaden each student’s capabilities and knowledge of both dance and the arts. RDA is a strong dance studio and performing arts choice and will create a positive and uplifting learning experience for all students involved.

Owner and Artistic Director
Mr. Quincy is a former principal dancer with Ballet Pacifica and Philippine Ballet Theater. He studied ballet, jazz and contemporary dance under his father, Eli Jacinto, at TEAM Dance Studio in the Philippines. With this solid background, he won a dance and academic scholarship to Harid Conservatory in Florida, where he trained with Olivier Pardina, Tina Santos-Wahl, Mark Godden, Demetrius Klein and Marjorie Tallchief. At Philippine Ballet Theatre, Quincy was cast in strong lead roles such as Basil in Don Quixote and Solor in La Bayadere, and has uniquely, separately portrayed the roles of Romeo, Tybalt and Mercutio in Tom Pazik's Romeo and Juliet. He had also made a mark on Philippine audiences in the historical ballet Andres, about the life of revolutionary hero, Andres Bonifacio, first as the opposing General, then in the lead role. On Quincy, the elder Eli Jacinto created roles for him in the solo Puga (Struggle) for TEAM Dance Studio, and the lead fisherman in Magdaragat (Seafarer) for Philippine Ballet Theatre. With Ballet Pacifica, he created roles in Molly Lynch's choreographies, particularly praised for his role of Puck in Lynch's A Midsummer Night's Dream, and danced in works by choreographers Choo San Goh, Robert Sund, Jacques Heim and Susan Hadley. Quincy was a runner-up for the Best Male Dancer Award in 2003 and has won multiple first place & top teacher/choreographer awards for his choreography which was performed & competed by his RDA students. In the summer of 2013, Quincy & Rachel opened Riverside Dance Academy & Performing Arts and currently run the academy as Artistic Directors and proprietors. In January 2015, the Jacinto's started their own professional dance company- CODA- Company of dance Artists and are following their dreams of training dancers for a professional career in dance. As artistic director of RDA & CODA, Quincy & his wife, Rachel have produced the full-length Nutcracker, which the school & company will perform annually, with this year being its 8th production. Quincy is eager to begin his 5th year as owner and artistic director of RDA with his wife Rachel and to experience the impact he can make in the lives of his students and the artistic dancers of CODA!
Rachel Swinson Jacinto
Owner and Artistic Director
Miss Rachel is a former principal dancer of Inland Dance Theater, and has performed with American Ballet Theatre. Starting out at Inland Dance Academy, Rachel has trained under Evette DeMarco Swinson, and with David Allen, Michel Gervais, Roberto Almaguer, Charles Maple, John Todd, Tanya Durbin, and Jennifer Blake, in several styles of dance, including classical ballet, contemporary dance, jazz, hip hop and tap. Rachel was accepted to several professional ballet schools, significantly with American Ballet Theatre in New York City and the San Francisco Ballet School, where she trained with Lola DeAvila, Jorge Esquivel, Pascal Leroy, Wendy Van Dyke, John Meehan, Clinton Luckett, Cynthia Harvey, Leslie Browne and Ethan Brown. She trained under many Master Teachers, such as Evette Swinson, David Allen, Roberto Almaguer, Lola Deavila, and Cynthia Harvey. She also trained at the San Francisco Ballet School as well as the American Ballet Theater. In the summer of 2013, Rachel and Quincy opened Riverside Dance Academy & Performing Arts and currently run the academy as Artistic Directors and proprietors. In January 2015, the Jacintos started their own professional dance company- CODA- Company of dance Artists and are following their dreams of training dancers for a professional career in dance. As artistic director of RDA & CODA, she and her husband Quincy have produced the full-length Nutcracker, which the school & company will perform annually, with this year being it's 8th production. Rachel and Quincy have previously mounted Cinderella, Firebird, Swan Lake, Alice in Wonderland, Coppelia, and the Sleeping Beauty for various schools and Riverside Dance Academy. Rachel is ecstatic to be entering her 5th year as owner and artistic director of RDA with her husband Quincy and to get to opportunity to teach young minds a love of dance!
Evette DeMarco Swinson
Artistic Advisor and Ballet Mistress
Miss Evette began her ballet training in Riverside with Mary Lynn Waterman and Clinton Rothwell of the National Ballet of Canada. She was awarded a Ford Foundation Scholarship from the School of American Ballet at the age of 12 and studied with the Harkness House for Ballet Arts with David Howard in New York at the age of 15. After returning from New York, she joined the Los Angeles Ballet at the age of 15 under the direction of John Clifford, former Principal Dancer with the New York City Ballet, where she danced professionally from 1974 until 1985. She was also a Principal Dancer with Los Angeles Chamber Ballet, South Coast Ballet, and California Riverside Ballet under the direction of David Allen. She has performed as a guest artist with many Southern California companies, in movies and on TV, and has shared the stage with such celebrated artists as Merrill Ashley, Gelsey Kirkland, Alicia Alonzo, Darci Kistler, Peter Martins, Jorge Esquival, Damian Woetzel and John Clifford, and danced professionally for over 20 years. Miss Evette has also choreographed for many years and she won first overall and platinum for ballet pieces at Star Systems in 2016. She loves teaching and is excited for the upcoming dance year at RDA!
Contemporary, Jazz, Ballet, Pointe
Miss Elisa is a classically trained ballet and contemporary dancer and has been dancing for over 15 years. She began at age three studying Chiquette Ballet at Ballet Temecula and continued in Classical Ballet for the next ten while training with Quincy Jacinto at The Ballet Studio, and with Dana Nelson and Jose Chavez at Academy of Ballet Arts. Through the years, she has also studied with a variety of teachers in the genres of Jazz, Tap, Modern, and African Dance. Elisa was introduced to Contemporary by Quincy Jacinto at age nine and has continued to study the art of improvisation and movement under Quincy and Margaret Faulkner. Since 2008, Elisa has performed in Giselle, Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Coppelia, and Alice in Wonderland. Along with being featured as Clara in Academy of Ballet Arts' yearly Nutcracker performance, she has played roles such as the Dolls, Marzipan, Dew Drop soloist, and Spanish soloist. She has had soloist roles in other performances such as Puck in Midsummer Night's Dream, the Witch in Hansel and Gretel, and the lead in Cinderella. Miss Elisa has been a part of many contemporary pieces choreographed by Quincy Jacinto and was in "Requiem for a Dream" by Jose Chavez. In the winter of 2014 at the Youth American Grand Prix, Elisa placed first in the Senior Contemporary division with her solo "Metamorphosis", top twelve in Senior Classical Ballet, and her Sleeping Beauty Pas De Deux was one of few that qualified for the Finals in New York. Elisa has taught children from ages three and up in both areas of ballet and contemporary, and through her teaching, strives to instill excellence and a focus on strength and technique. With her passion for music and dance, Elisa is thrilled to bring her expertise and a love of the art to all who are in her class.
Miss Erika is from Menifee, California, where she grew up dancing among the most competitive studios and schools in Southern California. She has trained in different styles of dance including: jazz, lyrical, modern, contemporary, tap, ballet, hip hop, and musical theater. As a member of Elizabeth Ferri's dance company she traveled and performed at several events including the half-time show for the LA Clippers at the Staples Center. She is currently completing a double major in political science and dance at California State University Fullerton and is on their 16 time division 1 national championship dance team! Erika is on staff with the United Spirit Association where she travels all over the West Coast, teaching at high schools and middle schools. She has represented the USA by performing at the Rose Bowl during a UCLA event. She loves sharing her passion of dance with her students and pushing them in all of her classes. She is very excited to be joining RDA to teach and can't wait to pass on her training and experience!
Ballet, Contemporary, Tumbling
Miss Megan started her training at Riverside Dance Academy & Performing Arts under the direction of Rachel and Quincy Jacinto and Evette Swinson and has excelled extremely quickly to a very high level in classical ballet, pointe, contemporary, jazz and tumbling. Megan has also trained with Roberto Almaguer, Giselle DeMarco, Avianna Sanchez, Gina Cerato and many more professional teachers. She has been competing for many years and has won multiple 1st place overall, 1st place in category and platinum awards at various competitions. Megan competes consistently at the Youth American Grand Prix and placed 12th out of hundreds of dancers for her variation of Kitri from Don Quixote. Megan has performed for many years including soloist roles, such as snow soloist and waltz soloist, Arabian, Spanish and has performed as Clara in various productions of RDA's Nutcracker. She has also performed as the Harvest Fairy in RDA's Cinderella and the Mad Hatter in RDA's Through the Looking Glass, and most recently as The Black Swan Odile in Swan Lake, just to name a few. Miss Megan has been teaching at RDA for 4 years and choreographed several performance pieces for the studio's annual shows and many competition teams and solos. She is currently training at RDA under the directors and RDA's staff and dances as a CODA dancer with RDA's professional company. Megan is very happy to pass on what she has learned to the many students of RDA as she continues to grow as a dancer!
Jazz, Jazz Tricks, Tap, Musical Theater
Miss London has been dancing since she was three and has been teaching dance for three years. She has been participating in dance competition circuits for six years. She trains in all areas of dance but her specialties are in Jazz and Contemporary. In 2015 London was placed 1st overall at Star Systems Nationals and has six 1st place regional titles. London is currently training at RDA under the directors and RDA's staff and dances as a CODA dancer with RDA's professional company. She loves teaching because she enjoys passing down what she has learned from previous teachers and her experiences to others so they can grow into wonderful dancers!
Mr Jonathan began dancing 4 years ago at the age of 19. He began dancing for University of California Riverside's Kasa Dance Off program taking first place in 2013. Afterwards, he joined Urban Dance Community teams including Collective Faction, Family Bizness, and Infuse Dance Crew. He has competed at various dance competitions including Ultimate Brawl, Fusion, Maxt Out, Prelude, and Bridge. At age 22, he was hired by Disneyland as a Parade performer in Pixar Play Parade and Viva Navidad. Jonathan has been a dance instructor throughout Southern California specializing in teaching Hip Hop and Urban Choreography to all age groups. He is excited to join us this year as one of our hip hop instructors and our hip hop competition team coach!
Jazz and Pom Teams coach
Miss Claudette has been teaching and coaching cheer and dance for many years and began in high school, where she was a cheerleader, song leader, cheer coach, and choreographer. In college she was a Highlander girl and went on to cheer professionally for the United Spirit Association for several years. Claudette has judged many competitions and auditions and is well known in the competitive pep community in Southern California. Among the many students she has coached, many have gone on to cheer and dance competitively, including joining Mt. Sacs championship Jazz and Hip Hop teams, dancing on the 16 time UDA National Championship Titan Dance Team at Cal State University, Fullerton, coaching and choreographing for the Titan Dance Team, scoring Top Senior Soloist at Show Stoppers Dance Nationals, joining the LA Clippers Spirit Dance Team, and so much more! She has always had a passion for helping each and every individual on her teams reach their greatest potential as competitive dancers and she cannot wait to begin coaching a jazz and pom team at RDA!
Contemporary, Jazz, Tumbling
Miss Emily has been training with Riverside Dance Academy & Performing Arts for five years in a variety of dance genres such as ballet, jazz, contemporary, tumbling, and more. Each year she participates in the Nutcracker and Summer Ballet and was most recently The White Swan Odette in Swan Lake, as well as competition teams, trios, duets and solos. At competitions, Emily has won a multitude of awards such as Outstanding Technical skill, 1st in Category, 1st Overall and many more. Emily has traveled with RDA to dance events at all sort of different venues. She is currently training at RDA under the directors and RDA's staff and dances as a CODA dancer with RDA's professional company. Emily has been subbing and assistant teaching at RDA for three years in classes and during production rehearsals and is excited to be teaching again this coming year as well as coaching a competition team!
Miss Patience studied Ballet and Tap under the loving tutelage of Dorothy Matsie Wade in North Hollywood, CA from the age of 4 until she was 19. During that time she attended a Performing Arts School for 3 years, and studied Jazz and Modern Dance under the fabulous Mrs. Baker. She finally took ballet at Los Angeles Community College for 1 year. She stopped dancing due to a foot injury while at her retail job. Now in her 40's, she ironically, decided it was time to get back to her basics, and started taking ballet & jazz classes with RDA in March 2016, because of another foot injury (plantar fasciitis). She started teaching ballet later that same year. She is the mother to 2 children, one of our students, Emma Armienta, who is thriving in her 5th year her at RDA, and a son, Wyatt, who loves to ride his dirt bike out in Barstow with his dad. Patience is looking forward to helping RDA's little dancers discover the beauty and love for dance and believes it is going to be a terrific dance year!
Miss Vida studied dance as a teen and, in more recent years, has been studying directly under Riverside Dance Academy's Owners and Artistic Directors Rachel and Quincy Jacinto. She has advanced rapidly in the genre of ballet and moved up to ballet pointe 1 year ago. Vida has performed in several ballet productions with RDA and has held the roles of The Evil Stepmother in Cinderella and Flower Soloist in Alice Through the Looking Glass. Vida has two young daughters, Alana and Kaila, who also study dance at Riverside Dance Academy & Performing Arts. She is extremely excited to be teaching Ballet and enjoys watching the academy's dancers advance each year!
Miss Charity is one of Riverside Dance Academy's hip hop instructors and loves sharing her passion for dance with her students. She has a natural ability for dance and has trained and choreographed with various teachers and artists including her high school dance team for four years. Performing is a passion of Charity's and she has many years of experience in front of an audience. Charity has trained as a teacher directly under Quincy and Rachel Jacinto. She is very excited to continue teaching dance at RDA another year!
Miss Yazmin started dancing at age 4 and has had a love for dance her whole life. She was a part of the dance and cheer teams for 5 years. She was also involved in gymnastics for 1 year. Yazmin joined RDA and has been training under the RDA directors, Quincy and Rachel Jacinto for the past 2 years. She has studied various dance genres including ballet, contemporary, tumbling, and jazz. This past year, Yazmin participated on the competition teams and has shown she works amazingly as a team and under pressure. She has also participated in RDA's productions of The Nutcracker and the summer ballet performances. Yazmin has been assistant teaching and assisting during ballet rehearsals and is very excited to be teaching this coming year!
