Michael brings a astounding depth and breadth to the role of Blue Miller. He has performed in Macbeth and Dreamgirls for Mad Cow Theater, August Wilson's Jitney and King Hedley II at Seminole State College. He portrayed the role of Bo Doucet in a reading of Joseph Reed Hayes' If I Had My Way in 2009.
Ms. Perez is a veteran of the Orlando stage, starring in
Rent, Aida, Nunsense, Hooked and more. Called a "charismatic star" by the Orlando Sentinel, Desiree brings an intimate knowledge of music and a lifelong involvement in jazz to the role of Ellie Grace.
Artistic Director, Resident Director of Greater Orlando Actors Theatre. Starting his acting career as a child on Sesame Street, Mr. Castaneda has acted in and produced shows in New York, appeared in shows for Theatre Downtown and the Orlando Fringe Festival and has directed shows for GOAT, Theatre Downtown, Playwrights Round Table and the Orlando Fringe Festival.
Joseph Reed Hayes
With 32 productions and readings of his plays from coast to coast and in three countries since 2001, playwright, freelance writer, jazz advocate and performance artist Joseph Hayes pioneers the cause of local, sustainable art. As producer of the Jazz On Edge series since 2008, he has spotlighted the best of Orlando's vibrant jazz scene. In 2012 he was awarded a United Arts Professional Development Grant to create the House Theater Project series of live-streamed original theater works, and completed a successful Kickstarter campaign to launch 13in13: my year of living creatively.
