What I Do

I'm a science journalist exploring the intersection of science and culture. I currently work at The Huffington Post as a social community editor for the Science, Green, and Tech verticals. I also blog for Psychology Today at The Stone Age Mind. I'm available for freelance.

Current Projects

HuffPost Girls In STEM Mentorship Program Mission: To address issues facing girls in science and engineering. Project Leader Co-leading a digital mentorship project aimed at getting and keeping girls in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields. Matching girls with female scientists and engineers in mentorship pairs, and building a dialogue on-site around issues women face in STEM. Directing social media strategy for community engagement (Follow along at #hpSTEM). NESCent Science Journalism Fellowship Journalist-in-Residence at the National Evolutionary Synthesis Center. Durham, NC Awarded a grant to work on a writing project exploring evolutionary psychology and transhumanism.
