Hello: I'm Ben Tannenbaum
Digital Anthropologist & Non-Linear Thinker
Pioneering the Emerging Frontier
Here's a corporate-sounding bio for all of you myopic ladder-climbers that would dismiss me without one.
A forward-thinking innovator, I possess expertise and experience at the crossroads of business development, technology, media, and as of recently, payments and commerce. I currently work for Mastercard, where I support efforts within MasterCard Labs focused on engaging directly with early stage companies driving innovation in and around commerce and payments. It's a lot of fun, albeit challenging at times. More importantly, I like it because I believe our charter represents the right way to treat people and companies. Everybody benefits. Sort of like stakeholder theory.
What are some of the things I'm skilled at?
I translate technology to inform strategy, with a proven track record of success in initiating and launching complex strategic partnerships and cutting-edge emerging technology programs. A valued company resource, I've become known for my entrepreneurial mindset and enthusiastic style. I've garned extensive experience in both autonomously directing client engagements and developing projects into more substantial long-term relationships.
What about before?
In the past, I focused on developing and executing forward-thinking interactive campaigns utilizing emerging technologies designed to deliver sustainable engagement for brands and agencies activated across all media. I maintain an outwardly focused, technology-driven perspective on innovation, with a focus on both storytelling and the ever-increasing participatory expectations of audiences.
In an ecosystem defined by exponential change and evolution, success requires a combination of subject matter expertise and strategic guidance and consulting. I leverage these skills. Consistently. I also do my best to support innovation within the corporation – you might even call me an
preneur. Somebody needs to protect fragile ideas from corporate conservatism and myopic thinking. Might as well be me.
Not for Profit
I am actively involved with these fine organizations
